• How does an online consultation work?
Online consultations are a new concept in healthcare that utilize the Internet to improve patient access to physician care. The patient does not receive a traditional physical exam by the physician, but rather completes an online questionnaire and communicates with the physician using our secure online communication tool or by phone. Although online consultations will never take the place of traditional medicine, they do provide a means for patients to receive treatment for a limited number of conditions that, in certain circumstances, may not require a physical exam.

• What Is Bioequivalence?
Generics are not required to replicate the extensive clinical trials that have already been used in the development of the original, brand-name drug. Since the safety and efficacy of the brand-name product has already been well established in clinical testing and frequently many years of patient use, it is scientifically unnecessary, and would be unethical, to require that such extensive testing be repeated in human subjects for each generic drug that a firm wishes to market. Instead, generic applicants must scientifically demonstrate that their product is bioequivalent (i.e., performs in the same manner) to the pioneer drug. One way scientists demonstrate bioequivalence is to measure the time it takes the generic drug to reach the bloodstream and its concentration in the bloodstream in 24 to 36 healthy, normal volunteers. This gives them the rate and extent of absorption-or bioavailability-of the generic drug, which they then compare to that of the pioneer drug. The generic version must deliver the same amount of active ingredients into a patient's bloodstream in the same amount of time as the pioneer drug. Using bioequivalence as the basis for approving generic copies of drug products was established by the Drug Price Competition and Patent Term Restoration Act of 1984, also known as the Hatch-Waxman Act. Brand-name drugs are subject to the same bioequivalency tests as generics when their manufacturers reformulate them.
• Are the products you sell within their expiration dates?
Absolutely. We do NOT sell prescription medication that is past its expiry date as it is illegal to do so. Our affiliated US pharmacies are like any other pharmacies and adhere strictly to all operational requirements.
• Can I request specific expiration dates for my medications?
We are sorry, but we cannot special order products or medication based on the expiration date, nor will we be able to place special orders for customers based on the expiration dates of items or medication we have in stock. Euromedonline ltd guarantees that any of our affiliated pharmacies will only ship products with long shelf-life. Should you receive any product near or over the expiry date, please contact our Customer Service Department for how to act.
• Are there certain drugs that I cannot buy online through Euromedonline?
Euromedonline.com and its affiliated U.S. pharmacy will not fill prescriptions for narcotics or any controlled substances such as benzodiazephines and will not fill prescriptions where either the drug or a different brand name of the same drug is not available in the U.S. Please be sure to check with the FDA website the list of controlled or scheduled drugs.
• What is „scheduled“ or „controlled“ medication?
In 1970, Congress passed the “Controlled Substances Act” to better regulate the manufacture, distribution, and dispensing of controlled substances. Controlled substances (also called scheduled drugs) are medicines that are particularly prone to abuse and can cause physical or psychological dependence. Please find a full list of the drugs in question:
Please note that we do NOT distribute any of the drugs on this list. Should you require any scheduled/controlled drugs, please talk to your personal physician.
• Do you offer refrigerated medicines?
At this time we don't offer refrigerated medicines. This is because standard shipping methods do not guarantee that the medicine will be kept at the proper temperature.
• Why my medication looks different than usual?
Your medication may look different than what you are used to receiving because you received a medication made by a different manufacturer than what you have received in the past.
The first way to confirm that you received the correct medication is to make sure that the medication's name properly appears on the prescription bottle, along with the correct strength. You may also look on the line underneath the name of the medication. If this information matches the pills in your prescription bottle, then you have received the correct medication.
• What to do with my leftover or expired medication?
We recommend that you take any leftover medication to your local pharmacy for disposal or destruction. Another and easy way to dispose of leftover or expired medicines is to take take them out of any packings and to flush them down the toilet. That also guarantees that children and pets can't eat them.

• Is there any difference between a brand name drug and generic drugs?
A generic drug is a medication for which the original manufacturer has lost patent protection. When the patent period expires, other manufacturers are allowed to produce and sell the exact medication. As they do not have to develop the medication or invest in expensive marketing they are able to manufacture and sell at a much lower price. The generic drug is the exact same medication as the original brand name drug, simply made by another company. Due to strict regulations on the generic drug industry, these drugs must provide the same therapeutic effect as the brand name drug.
• Is generic medicine as safe and effective as their brand-name equivalents?
Yes. All manufacturing and marketing of the generic drugs must be conducted in strict compliance with the guidelines which apply to the original branded product. This ensures the safety and effectiveness of both generic and brand-name prescription medications. The generic drug must meet the same rigid standards as the brand-name drug. An "A-"rating by the FDA means a generic drug is identical, or "bioequivalent," to a brand-name drug in: Dosage Strength, Quality, Safety and Performance/Medical Use.
• How do I find the ingredient of the drug?
Every drug listed displays the strength, common name (brand name), generic or ingredient name. For example: Viagra (sildenafil) 100mg, 4 tablets. "Viagra" is the common or brand name. "Sildenafil" is the ingredient / generic name. Additionally, the strength (100mg) and pack size (4 tablets) are typically listed as above.
• Where can I find more information about my medication?
Euromedonline provides valuable patient information about your prescribed medications and the diseases they are intended for. You can learn more about your medication, what it is used for, its side effects, and more, all online. To access this information, click on "Products" tab on our web pages. Find your relevant medical condition or the medication name and you will find the information. We have tried to provide as complete information as possible but we cannot guarantee the accuracy or validity of this information. Please consult your doctor or local pharmacists for any specific questions you may have regarding your medication.
• What if the product I want is not available on your website?
Please be informed that if you cannot find the product you need using our website, then we do not offer this product.
• What if the item I need is out of stock?
Usually even if a product is momentarily out of stock, our pharmacy is able to quickly provide it so we will be able to deliver it to you at the earliest opportunity.
• How can I specify that I always want the generic version of my prescription medication if it is available?
In order to specify that you would like generic medications on all prescriptions available in generic form, you will need to take care when selecting the product during the order phase. We have taken care to list at least one generic version when available so read the product list carefully. The generic versions are normally listed below the branded product.
• What if my medication is available as generic, but I still want the brand name product that I am accustomed to?
Our website order form allows you to select the branded medication or if available its generic version. Should you only desire the brand name product simply make sure you choose the branded product on our product list.
• Who makes Generic Drugs?
Generic versions of original (branded) medicine are sometimes manufactured by the same pharmaceutical companies that make brand drugs; others are produced by pharmaceutical companies specializing in the manufacturing of generics. All prescription drug manufacturers must meet rigid FDA, WHO and GMP approval. At euromedonline.com all prescription drugs offered are produced by well-renowned International pharmaceutical companies who meet FDA, WHO and GMP approval.
• Why are generic drugs less expensive?
New brand-name drugs are developed under a patent, giving the company the sole right to sell the drug during the patent period. During this time, a drug company charges more for a brand-name drug to recover the costs of developing the drug, which also includes research, FDA approval, testing, marketing and promotion. When the patent expires, other manufacturers can begin to produce and sell generic versions of the brand-name drug. Because these manufacturers don't have the same research and development costs, they can afford to sell their product at substantial discounts. Also, with more products in the market, there is increased competition which drives the prices down. Euromedonline.com offers generic drugs of highest quality, produced by international pharmaceutical companies which meet the strictest FDA, WHO, European and GMP standards.
