Contraindications:

Do not take Soma without informing your doctor of your sensitivity to its formulation:
(active) carisoprodol; (inactive) alginic acid, magnesium stearate, potassium sorbate, starch, tribasic calcium phosphate

The safety of this drug in pregnancy or lactation has not been established. This drug appears in breast milk and could affect a nursing infant.

Side effects:

More common side effects may include:

• agitation
• depression
• drowsiness
• dizziness

Dosage

The usual adult dosage of `Soma' (carisoprodol) Tablets, is one 350 mg tablet, three times daily and at bedtime. Usage in patients under age 12 is not recommended.
Swallow the tablet whole. Do crush or chew.

Do not take the medication in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor. Follow the directions on your prescription label.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose, skip it and continue with your next scheduled intake. Do not take two doses a day.

Overdose

Seek immediately emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. Symptoms of carisoprodol overdose may include confusion; fast heartbeat; hallucinations; loss of consciousness; loss of coordination; rigid muscles; seizures; severe dizziness or drowsiness; slow or irregular breathing; vision problems.

Storage
